Dr. Jerry Brown is a certified addiction specialist and board certified practicing physician in Costa Mesa, California. He holds a master’s degree in substance abuse and has been treating substance abuse for the last 18 years. He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Physicians and is a past board certified therapist for the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (NCADD) in Washington, DC.
In his program, he combines science with spirituality in a holistic approach to substance abuse and alcoholism. The goal of this unique program is to educate people on the disease of addiction while weeding out those who do not need help, while helping those who do to get the help they need. His 12-step program addresses the physical as well as spiritual aspects of drug addiction recovery. Through the use of meditation, relaxation techniques, dietary changes and exercise, Dr. Brown provides support and helps lead individuals through the process of quitting drugs and alcohol.
The National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence is an organization that offers resources and assistance for alcohol and drug treatment programs. The organization offers forums and newsletters. In addition, they offer free information on the latest advances in substance abuse treatment programs. Dr. Brown is a member of the board of directors of the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence and is a certified addiction specialist.
