Christina H. develops her expertise as a drug and alcohol addiction counselor and addiction therapist in the field of addiction treatment. Her professional experience spans fourteen years in the professional community, having worked as a licensed social worker and labor relations specialist with the Human Services Department in the state of Colorado. She also served as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor in the county of Riverside, California. In her role as a counselor, Christina helped many persons addicted to alcohol or other substances acquire educational information on their disease, self-help programs, and spiritual approaches to living a sober life. In addition, she counseled addicts to utilize self-rehabilitation services. She is currently a staff psychologist at The Addiction Treatment Center in Denver, Colorado.
When Christina H. first decided to explore addiction treatment, she had already been working in the private sector for eight years in the Substance Abuse Treatment (SAT) division of the Department of Social Services (DSS). Prior to that position, she had been a labor relations specialist/human resources manager for the State of Colorado. She holds a master’s degree in social work from the University of Southern Illinois, a Bachelor of Arts in Counseling from the University of Denver, and a Masters of Social Work from the University of Denver.
Christina H. is very passionate about substance abuse, and she offers a unique blend of motivation and training that are needed in a great substance abuse treatment program. She wants people to have full and effective recovery from addiction. In her role as a consultant, trainer, and speaker, her primary focus is to empower individuals and families to take responsibility for their own alcohol and drug abuse treatment. She looks forward to sharing her knowledge and her passion about substance abuse and addiction recovery through training and consulting with people and families who are interested in pursuing a successful treatment plan for themselves or loved ones.
