New Life Recovery Inc. was started in 1984 by Frank Kern. Frank was a young man who had been a client of the transitional living program run by the Armed Forces Ministry. He was stationed at Fort Jackson, South Carolina at the time and he decided that he needed a fresh start and so he began a process of getting clean and sober. After serving two years in the military, he was able to complete the full program and this led him on his quest for a sober life.
The New Life Recovery Inc. provides transitional living and outpatient services for military families and their spouses as well as families of veterans and others who are living with an addiction. The transitional programs that they offer are residential, live-in or short-term services. They have four main recovery centers that they operate in. The headquarters is in Tucson, Arizona and their outpatient services are provided in El Cajon, California, Little Rock, Arkansas and Miami Dade County, Florida. All their facilities are equipped with twenty-four hour on-site medical care and they also provide therapists and support staff to help their clients through the recovery process.
The New Life Recovery Inc. transition plan is an innovative and comprehensive program that helps their clients follow an alcohol-free lifestyle and they work closely with their clients to develop a personalized plan for meeting their specific needs. The New Life Recovery Inc. focuses on building personal responsibility, self-esteem and their sense of worth. It also aims to build a sense of community among the clients in addition to providing them with the resources that they need to remain sober and to get and stay clean. The transitional center also works closely with their clients’ physicians to coordinate treatment plans and to refer their patients to appropriate health care providers.
