Bolger- Ann- Ph.D. San Jose CA 95129

Bolger-Ann-Ph.D. has been offering San Jose, CA drug addiction treatment programs, including a residential treatment center for adults, and outpatient treatment programs for teens and children. Dr. Bolger is nationally certified as an addiction psychiatrist and past president of the American Society of Addiction Medicine. She has been practicing private consulting and research in the area of substance abuse treatment, depression, anxiety disorders, and addiction since 1977.

The four primary components of this holistic approach to drug addiction treatment are nutrition, personalized exercise training, exercise science, and the use of pharmaceuticals in support of the particular needs of the patient. With the proper nutrition and training, patients will learn to implement healthy lifestyle choices, including a proper diet and regular exercise, in order to overcome substance abuse problems and improve their health and fitness. During the residential component of the program, residents will engage in one-on-one counseling with a qualified addiction specialist in order to develop a comprehensive plan for achieving abstinence from drug addiction and successful completion of the program. In addition, patients will engage in group therapy and education seminars in an effort to help others with substance abuse problems.

In addition to these important activities, residents will be required to complete weekly counseling sessions that will include peer discussion and educational resources. Upon completion of the Bolger-Ann-Ph.D. program, the individual will be awarded a Master’s Degree in substance abuse treatment, which will be able to help them attain a high-quality job in a private or public facility that addresses substance abuse issues. This degree is also great for those who are not yet licensed to practice medicine, but are interested in becoming a psychiatrist or other mental health specialist. The program will also open doors for other professionals by providing employment opportunities in substance abuse treatment that were previously not available. In the San Jose area, there are many professional organizations, including the American Psychological Association and the American Counseling Association that have been instrumental in the success of the Bolger Ann-Ph.D. Program, and the San Jose State University Psychology Department have also offered support and scholarships to those who complete the program.
