Celebrate Recovery is a twelve-year, faith-based drug and alcohol rehab program that provides drug and alcohol rehabilitation, life skills development, and psychological treatment. The center was established by Christian counselors with the mission of helping addicts to recover from their addiction through Biblical knowledge, client education, professional counseling, and spiritual support. Tuscaloosa is the site of the main headquarters for the National Association of Drug Alcohol Dependence (NADCA) and the Alabama Department of Human Services. Since inception, the center has trained over 500 people, providing expert support in the areas of scientific research, clinical treatment, and peer training.
The goal of the program is to help an addict to fully integrate back into society, while preparing them for a new life based on Biblical knowledge and principles. In Northport, Alabama, the center offers a variety of programs for those who are struggling with alcohol and drug dependencies. They offer a transition living facility, a faith-based recovery community, and an educational halfway house.
A transition living unit is for those who have an addiction and need assistance to adapt to living as an out-patient. The halfway house is for those who are ready to make a fresh start but need some additional support to successfully complete the transition to living an active life as an inpatient. The educational program offers training in subjects such as Bible studies and Bible application, while the faith based recovery community provides training in areas such as Alcoholics Anonymous and Reconstructive faith community. Both programs allow the addict to interact with other recovering individuals while working toward recovery.
